Information Collected - (16 CFR § 312.4)
As with all Internet web sites, Web of Life, collects some information indirectly
from all users visiting our web site. What is collected and how it is used is
explained below.
Our web server and e-mail systems keep log files about network transactions.
NASA policy is to destroy these logs after they are 30 days old. We do analyze
our web log files to calculate page views and how long visitors stay. We do not
track individuals with this information. We are required to retain this information
for the security of our site and online service.
E-mail addresses of messages sent from our system are logged as well. These
logs are not viewed unless necessary for security reasons and are deleted after
30 days
IP addresses may be recorded but are never used to identify someone personally
unless a security breach requires such an investigation.
This web site does not collect and store personal information on its visitors.
The only exception to this is the temporary storage of email addresses necessary
to answer a persons questions or request feed back; or, name and mailing address
needed to ship requested materials. In addition this site makes no determination
as to the age of its visitors and makes no efforts to contact or collect information
on minors of any age.
"Contact Us" Email Information:
We do not disclose this information to third parties.
The first name is collected for the purpose of personally addressing e-mail
replies.
The e-mail address is collected so we can respond to any questions. E-mail
addresses are deleted after we respond to the message and are never stored longer
than 30 days.
Mailing addresses are collected so we can ship materials requested by the user.
